My oldest daughter, Mak (the one on the right), is heading off to college on Thursday. My mother, who lives in another state, moves in 14 days later. Hence, the title of my blog. I actually got the idea from my son... smart one, he is.
You can only imagine the buzzing confusion of details that are going on in my already too busy brain. Move daughter to school several hours away... Move mother into house (from out-of-state after I get her packed & loaded, then drive her & her car cross country with a dog and a cat... I've been wondering, how do I get a cat that is an outdoor cat, therefore not litter trained, to go in a litter box during 2 and a half days of driving?) I struggle to prioritize the activities that present themselves while reminding myself to stay in the moment. I want no regrets when Mak leaves. You know, you can only leave home once... right??? Okay, let me rephrase that. You can only leave home for the first time, once!
